We had a wonderful stay, it was easy to find and we found it very clean and comfortable with a great welcome from Mandy . There was so much to do in North Wales, Beaumaris Castle was my favourite. Had a lunch at Nelson’s in Pulford , just a short drive away . We would recommend this cottage and look forward to a return visit

Mandy’s farm is a simply beautiful place to stay. The room was clean & tidy, echoing Mandy’s great attention to detail. The moment we arrived and met Mandy, we wished we had booked for more than one night. The farm has a very peaceful feel about it, and the drive there was also incredibly beautiful. Mandy is a wonderful host who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We would have no hesitation is coming back and absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

My husband John and I absolutely loved our stay at Oak Cottage. Mandy’s attention to every detail meant we felt totally at home from the minute we walked in the door. Plenty of space to move around and more storage than we needed for our stay. We were an easy 10 mins to local amenities and approx 30 mins to various ‘must see’ locations. The peace and quiet ensured we were well rested for each of our days activities. Oak Cottage is very well appointed with every detail and requirement carefully considered. Also, the drizzle cake, fresh eggs and milk were an added bonus. Thank you so much for your hospitality. 😊

We have never experienced a rental property so comprehensively equipped and Mandy had furnished and decorated it beautifully. The bathroom has two basins, a large shower and a bath and the kitchen has everything you would need. Our flat was light and airy and wonderfully peaceful with a great outlook over a field .
Golly is a great jumping off point for all sorts of treasures – Llangollen, Chester, National Trust properties and gardens, and Snowdonia is well within reach.
We couldn’t fault it. Go.

Excellent place, really well done up, great bathroom and kitchen set up, was accommodating to our booking, stayed in communication all the way leading up to the trip giving local knowledge, baked a beautifully cooked cake which we did eat the entire thing on the first day ☺️ fresh sourced eggs for breakfast, comfortable beds everything was pristine clean, would recommend to anyone staying in the area

Thanks for the fantastic stay, just what we needed for our anniversary weekend! We stayed in the Studio. It was honestly even nicer than the pictures, and so, so clean. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere so clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything, and the eggs and amaizng cake were such a nice touch. The bathroom was super clean and well equipped – it had body wash/shampoo, conditioner, and towels. I hope we get a chance to return in the future!!

The Cottages at Golly Farm are very special. This is a calm, quiet, peaceful, rural location. I don’t think I have slept as well in years. The Cottages are thoughtfully furnished with more than enough of everything you might need. And Mandy, your host, is kind, thoughtful and attentive. 11/10. I strongly recommend!

Lovely stay enjoyed every minute

Golly farm is a beautiful rural setting, but also very close and well connected to bigger towns. The cottages are stunning and everything is of a lovely quality down to the last detail. Mandy is a wonderfully friendly and helpful host and was very quick to respond if we needed anything. We had such a cosy stay and it is definitely somewhere we would like to go back to. It is one of those special places that you don’t forget.

An absolute gem! Mandy was fantastic and the place was beautiful. It had everything we needed and more. Quiet, peaceful and truly fantastic. The orange drizzle cake was a great touch and was delicious! Value for money was incredible, what is offered is worth a lot more in my opinion.

We stayed in Oak Cottage for a long weekend whilst visiting family and we can really recommend it – Mandy is a wonderful host and the cottage is very cosy, comfortable, clean, and has everything we needed. Our dog was welcomed too. A nice touch to receive a cake and treats for our dog on arrival. We were very pleased we chose Golly Farm.

Luxury cottage and lovely host. This place was everything we were looking for and more. Great location, beautiful surrounds and efficient/modern equipment and furniture. You won’t find a cleaner place during this pandemic.

Oak Cottage was really lovely. Very well presented, comfortable, extremely clean and tidy. Kitchen well stocked with pots/crockery/cutlery/etc. Area is very quiet, surrounded by fields. Mandy is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this stay.

This was a lovely cottage that provided us with everything we needed, and we particularly enjoyed that it was so warm and comfortable and sparkling clean. I was so impressed with host and hospitality. Not many people baking cake for your arrival but Mandy does. She is great host and this stay was by far my favourite. We will definitely return.
Also this place is very dog friendly and Chester town too so if you want combine both, town seeing and quite and relaxing stay away then the Golly Cottage is the place for you.

We stayed at the property over new year with our toddler twins and loved our stay. Lots of special touches, such as cake and chocolates on arrival, along with beautiful Christmas decorations. The rural location is beautiful. There is also a dedicated parking space for the property which was ideal. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

Holly Cottage was beautiful! We spent a week here and it was perfect. The whole cottage was clean and comfy and had everything we needed. The little extras that Mandy left us were a lovely little touch! The cottage is in a great location for exploring North Wales and places like Chester. Mandy is a great host and is very welcoming! We would love to come back and would recommend this place to anyone!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Golly Farm. Mandy was a superb host and looked after us very well. We got treated with a divine cake and some lovely fresh farm eggs.
The studio cottage that we stayed in was sparkling clean and very comfortable. The surrounding area is absolutely stunning and so relaxing. We just loved our stay.

This place is amazing! It’s close enough to Chester and Wrexham that it’s an easy drive to get anywhere, but far enough into the countryside that it really felt like we were getting away from it all. Mandy is a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed, including a delicious orange drizzle cake and eggs from her own hens! The Studio is warm and spacious inside, with comfy beds, a proper kitchen and a really good shower.

Felt like home from home.
Mandy was really accommodating in the run up to our arrival regards our arrival time and gave a very warm welcome when we did arrive.
The Studio is superb – very open and spacious but still cosy and compact with everything you’d need for a week or more including a dishwasher and microwave in the well equipped kitchen.
There was one of Mandy’s much-talked about cakes waiting for us along with tea, coffee and some milk in the fridge. Cake was fab.
Super clean bathroom, mega comfy bed with an electric blanket and fluffy pillows, and the sofa bed was absolutely fine too.
Easy parking right outside.
Location is quiet and secluded without being remote.
Excellent comms from Mandy throughout.
Hope to stay again soon.

Working away from home this was a great place to stay and relax after work. The accommodation had everything you need whether you are on holiday or working. The location was near to Wrexham, and Chester for shopping or dinning out, and there are plenty of scenic walks nearby.
Mandy the owner would always greet you with a smile and when you arrive there was always a cake waiting.

Highly recommend Golly Farm Cottages 5🌟 accommodation with everything you can imagine provided to such a high standard…including homemade cake and fresh eggs! We loved exploring all the beautiful areas on the doorstep, including Snowdon, Pontyscyllte aquaduct, Portmeirion, Anglesey, Caernarfon Castle and more! Then back to the cottage for a laid back evening watching the bees, bats and Canadian geese with a glass of wine or two! Super reasonable rates with a generous and friendly host, Mandy. Can’t wait to come back!

The cottage/farm was situated in a very pretty and quiet area, over looking green pastures and fields. It was a pleasure to look out at the view from the cottage, or better still, sit out and enjoy the idylic setting.
The cottage itself had every comfort we needed, well proportioned, nicely furnished and we really appreciated our welcome pack including the fresh farm eggs and home made cake.
A trip to Chester proved a delight. In fact we spent 2 days visiting this city as we found there were so many parts to explore. We would definitely recommend Chester as a place to tour.

What a find Golly Farm Cottages (and Mandy!) has been. We visit relatives in this part of the world fairly regularly and came across Golly Farm by chance. We have never stayed anywhere that has been so well appointed – every need is catered to, down to the extra luxury of an electric blanket on the bed – and Mandy went out of her way to make us feel at home. The welcome tray of goodies (most delicious lemon drizzle cake) even included a bowl of treats for our dog. We stayed in the Studio which is beautifully kitted out and having such a lovely cottage to come back to at the end of the day make our few days even more enjoyable.

The cottage was very well furnished and fully equipped.

It is in a tranquil, rural setting but Chester is easily accessible as is the main road across North Wales.

Nothing was too much trouble for Mandy, the delightful owner.

Mandy gave us a really warm welcome,even a homemade cake waiting in the kitchen for us.
Our cottage was wonderfully clean and very well appointed and the towels and bed linen were beautifully laundered.

I have stayed at Golly Farm Cottages on a few occasions now, including work trips, for varying lengths of time. It really is a wonderful place to stay and is situated in a tranquil rural location, yet is still so accessible for visiting many other places. The beds are so comfortable (almost makes it difficult to get up in the morning) and what a great surprise to find electric blankets on the beds too, I never knew what I had been missing all these years!!

Mandy has literally thought of everything and is so helpful, yet not intrusive at all. The cottages are well equipped, light and airy and very comfortable and cosy, so great for rest and relaxation as well as using as a base for work or sightseeing. The WiFi is also excellent. The little patio areas in from of the cottages are a real sun trap on a sunny day with lovely views over the fields. The surrounding lanes of Golly Farm Cottages are also lovely to explore whatever the season, and some great little walking routes right from the doorstep as well. I even started bringing my bike, as it’s a really lovely area to explore on two wheels! Thanks Mandy.

The farm is very prettily situated surrounded by fields, but handily located for both the coastal and inland places of interest. The cottages are very comfortable and well-appointed. Mandy is most helpful and a generous host, her baking is delicious. Golly farm is a very relaxing and attractive place to stay and offers excellent value for money, which is a bonus!

From the moment you drive through the gates of Golly Farm Cottages you start relaxing. The location is surrounded by beautiful countryside and the first thing that you are met with is just how attractively presented the cottages are. The grounds are well kept with beautiful floral displays during the spring and summer months, paths are swept and clear of unnecessary ornaments etc. There are dedicated picnic tables and chairs overlooking the adjoining farmland, ideal for an early evening glass of wine, and often friendly sheep or cattle to keep you company.

We have stayed several times in either Holly or Oak Cottage and have always found them both to be ideal for a ‘home from home’ break. On entering the property you cannot but notice how well presented they are. You have simply everything you need waiting for you. They are undoubtedly the most well equipped self catering accommodation you could wish for and both spotlessly clean. The lounge, kitchen, bedroom and ensuite are all spacious and well equipped making the cottages comfortable and homely.

In easy travelling distance are the beautiful City of Chester and the town of Wrexham. Local shops and several pubs and restaurants only a short drive away.

The Welsh coast is in reasonable travelling distance too where there are numerous towns, villages, bays and beaches to explore.

But the ‘jewel in the crown’ for us is if you venture out to the local countryside where there are numerous villages, stately homes and beautiful scenery to explore.

Try a ride out to Llangollen and the Horseshoe Pass nearby. After a stroll around Llangollen, park near the Ponderosa Restaurant at the top of the pass and explore the stunning scenery on foot. After your walk pop into The Ponderosa for good homely food at a very reasonable cost. A homemade ham cob with a portion of chips go down very easily after a bracing countryside walk. Oh and don’t be put off if there are lots of motor bikes or a classic car or two parked there. The bikers are mostly of ‘pensionable age’ and just love their bikes. The bikers will love to have a chat with you if you show interest in their ‘Pride and Joy’.

All in all a great location.

What about your host? Well you will not find a better host anywhere! Mandy warmly greets you on arrival and ensures that you are comfortable and have everything you need, she then fades into the background and does not intrude into your privacy in any way. She is however close by should you need anything and is always available via her mobile phone should you need her urgently.

All in all we cannot recommend Golly Farm Cottages highly enough. If you want a peaceful, restful countryside break yet close to lots of amenities you will not find better than Golly Farm Cottages.

The accommodation was perfect for our elongated stay due to house move,the cottages were modern well equipped and cosy during the winter months.The location was ideal for exploring the local area for all Wales has to offer,Chester(the park and ride is a must).The Grosvenor at Pulford was our go to Sunday lunch/dinner carvery,plus other numerous good pubs.
Mandy went far beyond being a normal hostess,her friendly attitude along with her delightful spaniel. The welcome pack including fresh eggs,cake and Mandy’s helpful local knowledge,nothing was too much trouble.
We found it hard to leave it was so comfy,couldn’t recommend our stay highly enough.

Beautiful accommodation, spotlessly clean, with high end furniture, fixtures and fittings, providing a very comfortable stay. Everything we needed was to hand. There is a lovely seating area outside with great countryside views and ample parking.
Homemade cake, fresh milk, free range eggs and dog biscuits were a lovely touch on arrival, but the best reason to stay at Golly Farm is the owner- Mandy!
Nothing is too much trouble for her and she will make sure your stay is perfect. You will definitely want to return and we always look forward to going back there.
